Travelers from 41 states are now subject to New York’s COVID-19 pandemic quarantine order, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday.

At least five additional states appear to qualify for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut’s quarantine list — including New Jersey and Connecticut.

Travelers from California, Ohio, Maryland, Nevada, Hawaii and Minnesota no longer have to quarantine on arrival in the New York metro area.

In addition to removing five states from its list quarantine list, New York has also exempted VMA performers coming from states on the list.

Andrew Cuomo said LaGuardia and JFK will get testing sites as New York tries to prevent out-of-state visitors from bringing in new COVID-19 cases.

The tri-state quarantine list removed five states including Ohio on Tuesday, though it added Hawaii, South Dakota and the Virgin Islands.

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut update the list of states on its quarantine list each Tuesday.

New York, which already requires many travelers to quarantine, has made it mandatory for them to complete a form and provide contact information.
